Work: moorsbus.org serving the North York Moors National Park

Moorsbus is run by a group of volunteers aiming to create an affordable transport system to and around the North York Moors. They want to help locals, as well as visitors from home and abroad, to travel without cars, seven days a week, in all seasons.

Building a website for a bus network.

This is a website to provide information about the bus service as well as providing a portal for supporters and other essential information. The website has been made in a very modern style.

Moorsbus website overview.

The moorsbus website design was inspired from paintings made by local artist Clothylde Vergnes. I used a dark theme and built the website in html code from a template. I now use Webflow for no-code website design.

About Moorsbus.

"Moorsbus are a group of volunteers aiming to create an affordable transport system to and around the North.

In 2014 Friends of Moorsbus and the Moorsbus Community Interest Company were formed as not-for-profit organisations, working with communities and other groups to develop and promote local bus services.

They have had wonderful support from passengers, parish councils, businesses, and other groups.

Moorsbus can connect everyone to the North York Moors and help create a fairer and greener society today and for future generations."

The Moorsbus serves the North York Moors National Park Area.

The North York Moors is an upland area in north-eastern Yorkshire, England. It contains one of the largest expanses of heather moorland in the United Kingdom.

Our aim is to create an affordable transport system to and around the North York Moors and the surrounding area that allows people to travel without cars.

Moorsbus can connect everyone to the North York Moors and help create a fairer and greener society today and for future generations.

Bespoke Website Design and Development

An online hub.

A HTML template was used as a basis for this website.

The website contents were divided into discrete pages. From this information the page layouts were developed.

Theme colours were selected from the paintings that we were using and the website was put together using HTML code blocks.

Functionality and information have been added over the lifetime of the website.
