Content Management Systems

CMS (Content Management Systems) can be provided to allow website owners to make routine updates to their website themselves. I use the reliable and intuitive Webflow CMS.

Webflow CMS is a powerful, visual content management system that allows you to build and edit, data-driven websites without writing code. Unlike traditional CMS platforms (like WordPress) where you often work in a "backend" dashboard separate from your design, Webflow lets you manage content directly within your visual site layout.

How It Works: CMS

Text can be edited directly on the page with a CMS system.

The core of Webflow CMS is the Collection. Think of a Collection as a database or a spreadsheet for a specific type of content (e.g., Blog Posts, Team Members, or Projects).

  • Collection Fields: These are the individual data points you want to track, such as a "Title" (text), "Cover Image" (image), or "Published Date" (date).
  • Collection Items: These are the individual entries. If you have a "Recipes" Collection, each specific recipe is an Item.
  • Collection Pages: Webflow automatically creates a "template" page for your Collection. You design it once, and every item in that Collection will automatically generate its own page using that layout.
